Sometimes you need a chunk of your day for something that isn't an appointment — lunch, a vet run, a long block where you're just not taking pets. That's what Time Blocks are for.
A time block is like a fake appointment that takes up space on the calendar so nobody (including the online booking system) tries to book over it.
Open the Calendar.
Tap the + button in the top-right.
Tap New Time Block.
A form opens where you pick:
Which staff member the block is for (yourself, or another groomer on your team)
The date
Start and end times
A short note explaining what it's for (e.g., "Lunch," "Vet appt," "Training")
Tap Save and it shows up on the calendar as a blocked-out section for that groomer.
You can't book appointments on top of it. Teddy won't let you accidentally schedule a pet into that slot, and your online booking page won't offer it as a time.
It's visible on the calendar so you remember why you're not working.
It doesn't affect reports. Time blocks aren't revenue, they aren't appointments, and they don't count toward your stats.
Tap the time block on the calendar, same as you would an appointment. You can change the time, extend it, or delete it outright.
If you're taking a whole day off, you've got two options:
Create a full-day time block for yourself — quick and dirty, shows up on the calendar.
Adjust your business hours in Settings → Business so that day is closed. Cleaner, affects your online booking too.
For one-off personal days, a time block is easier. For recurring days off (you're always closed on Mondays), adjust your hours in Settings.
Right now, time blocks are created one at a time. If you need the same block every week (say, lunch from 12 to 1), you'll need to create one for each day. We know — if this matters to you, text us and let us know, and we'll pass it on.
