Settings is your configuration hub — where you manage everything about your account, your business, your staff, your services, and your payment integration. It lives in the SETUP group of the sidebar at /settings.
The page is organized into seven categories, each with its own sub-page:
Profile — your personal user account (name, email, avatar)
Business — the shop itself: name, address, hours, logo, tax rates, client tags
Staff — your team members and their shift schedules
Pet Settings — the pet codes that tag pet behaviors and conditions
Service — the services and pricing you offer
Online Booking — the settings for your public booking portal (covered in its own section of this help center)
Payment Info — your Square payment integration
You'll see these as a grid of icon tiles on the main Settings page, and again as a horizontal sub-nav inside any settings sub-page for quick switching.
This trips people up: Profile is you (the logged-in user), and Business is the shop. If you're a solo groomer it feels redundant, but Teddy supports multi-user shops down the road, so the split makes sense.
Put your name, your email, your avatar in Profile.
Put the shop's name, the shop's email, the shop's logo, hours, address in Business.
Profile and Business settings — your personal account, business info, hours, tax rates, and client tags.
Staff and shifts — adding staff, setting roles, and managing the weekly shift schedule that drives availability.
Pet Settings and Services — pet codes (emoji-tagged behaviors) and the services catalog that powers the calendar and online booking.
Payment Info (Square integration) — connecting Square to process payments directly from Teddy.
Online Booking settings have their own dedicated section in this help center — see The Online Booking overview.
A few things that feel like "settings" live elsewhere:
Auto Messages / reminders are in Auto Messages, not Settings.
Intake Forms are in Intake Forms, a top-level sidebar item.
Agreements are in Agreements, a top-level sidebar item.
The split is intentional: Settings is for mostly-static shop configuration, and the top-level sidebar items are for ongoing work.
You'll notice Card Processing (/card-processing) as a separate sidebar item. As of April 2026 it's a Coming Soon placeholder — the real payment processing happens through the Square integration under Payment Info, and that's what you should use today.
Tip: If you're setting up Teddy for the first time, go through Settings in this order: Business → Staff → Pet Settings → Service → Online Booking → Payment Info. That order mirrors the dependency chain: you need business hours before staff shifts make sense, and you need services before online booking has anything to offer clients.
